All aluminum construction to aid in energizer power transfer when compared to older stainless steel model. Aluminum is a much better conductor of electricity than stainless steel connectors. This connector is used to connect the energizer to polytape up to 2" thick. The flat surface provides great contact for the internal wires of the polytape. It can also be used with polywires.
